Natyabhoomi - RAaga Dance Company


Natyabhoomi School of Indian Dance was founded by Deepti and Shruthi Mukund and has been offering quality dance instruction in the South Indian Classical Form of Bharatnatyam for over 19 years.

Deepti Mukund’s daughter, Shreya Navile and her dancing partner Trisha Miglani started their Bollywood dance class Natyabhoomi -Raaga DC in 2011 in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  They have successfully been teaching bright kids and adults and performing at various prestigious events over the past 2 years.

Shreya has trained in Bharatnatyam since the age of 4 and performed her Rangapravesha (solo dance debut in front of an audience of over 500 people) in the summer of 2011 in Bangalore, India. She has also, trained in Kuchipudi, Ballet, and Modern as well. During her three year sojourn in India, Shreya qualified in the top 32 in the reality Indian TV show “Dance India Dance” and taught Bollywood dance at an orphanage. She has performed extensively with Natyabhoomi USA and Nupura, Nritarutya and Shaimak Davar Dance Academy in India. For Shreya, dance is not just a passion but it is the way she moves and breathes! She is the Dance captain for the “Blast” at Churchill High School and the lead of the Simply Irresistible Choir

Shreya and Trisha have been learning and performing Bollywood dance together since they were 8 and have inherent talent! They both enjoy learning, teaching and performing Bollywood!  The obvious step for them together was to start their own Bollywood dance company called Natyabhoomi -Raaga DC. They are the new generation and the fresh-faced spinoff of Natyabhoomi. What makes their classes special is that their routines have a new edge as well distinct authenticity, considering their experience in India. They are running their dance classes at Inner Reaches Barn 13420 Query Mill Road Gaithersburg/North Potomac, MD 20878 and currently have two batches.  Together, Trisha and Shreya plan on expanding Natyabhoomi Raaga DC and sharing a unique fun filled dance journey with everyone.

Initially for 8 years, Trisha Miglani trained and performed with the Washington Ballet School. She spent a couple years in India and many summers where she discovered her passion for Bollywood.  She performed extensively with the Terence Lewis Dance Academy. She is training in Bharatnatyam from Deepti Mukund. She has also trained in Kathak, Hip-hop, and Ballroom styles and is very versatile!
