Our Story

Three Decades of Artistry & Community

Natyabhoomi School of Dance was founded by Deepti Mukund Navile in 1994. Her sister Shruthi Mukund joined as Co-Artistic Director in 2001. Together they have built an institution that is both a rigorous artistic school and a deeply beloved community.

For students from the South Asian diaspora, Natyabhoomi is a second home — a place of sisterhood, cultural pride, and unapologetic celebration of Indian heritage.

"An inhibited mind and body cannot bring out the expressive abandon of dance. Besides finding your feet, you also should find a voice and vision."
